Mr. Andy's Pot Roast with Mushroom Gravy
3-4 lb boneless beef roast
2 large garlic cloves
1 tsp Our Family garlic salt
1 tsp Our Family salt
1 tsp Our Family pepper
2 cups brewed coffee
1 can of Our Family Mushroom Soup
2 tbsp worcestershire sauce
3 tbsp Our Family vegetable oil
1 large onion - sliced
3 tbsp corn starch
3 tbsp water
- In a small cup, mix garlic salt, salt & pepper.
- In a small bowl, blend coffee, mushroom soup, worcestershire sauce.
- Cut slits throughout roast, insert sliced garlic cloves.
- Sprinkle roast with garlic salt, salt & pepper.
- Flour both sides & shake off excess flour.
- Brown both sides of the roast with vegetable oil.
- Pour the blended coffee, mushroom soup & worcestershire sauce over the roast.
- Top with sliced onion.
- Cover and simmer for three hours or until tender.
- Mix corn starch, water and drippings from the roast pan for the gravy and bring to a boil for about one minute, or until thickened. Pour over the roast & enjoy!
